Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?
by flipper ini tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .
the first several years they didn't bother me.
i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

The elders are directed from the society to NOT "stalk" the friends, via internet or in person. It opens up many legal webs and liabilities, which could fall on the shoulders of the society.
The loopholes, though, are if the friends already notice something, and the elders are following up, or through gossip (some elders put their wives up to it), but the elders can't actively seek out sins by spying.

though you won't be accredited, what do you think of this program?.

If you don't get actual credits, it doesn't count for anything other than personal bragging rights that you took the same classes that the real students did. If you're going to go through that much trouble, then your efforts are better focused on dropping the pretence and just going to college for real.
Makes sense, except financially unfeasible. I need to pay off serious debt before I incur any more.

What are your core values? Are you willing to die for them?
by MC RubberMallet inif you believe or don't, what do you value most?
and are you willing to die for those values?.

Thanks for that!
I ask because I view honesty as part of my core person. And integrity.
But if I was in a life and death situation, and being dishonest would guarantee life for me or someone around me, I would do it.
So then, am I going against my core person? My honesty? My integrity?
I think life is more precious than ideals, in a way. But I understand that's why some are killing and stealing because they feel that way.
So I like to get viewpoints on this. What are peoples' core values and if it's worth death to stick to them?
Am I making sense? lol

Field Service Reports Count More than Showing Love - Ray Franz CF Book
by flipper ini've always suspected this was the wt society's view when i was in the jehovah's witness organization - but never knew the head of the writing committee karl adams had written a letter to nathan knorr ( then wt president ) recommending a change regarding reporting field service time as it wrongly emphasized jw members being seen as mainly being approved due to field service statistics - instead of emphasizing christian qualities of love, kindness, peace, etc.. karl adams had been personally handpicked by nathan knorr to be the head of the writing department.
in 1971 he wrote a letter to knorr which he wanted shared with the entire governing body as well .
i'll share the main parts of that letter.. on pg.

How much time did Jesus spend in the ministry? How much time did Noah spend warning people? If numbers were SO important, why did God not carefully record those in His Word?

Any born-ins have this attitude about converts?
by Nambo inso there was this great gang of us, from south london, manchester and wolverhampton, went to socialise with a group in fishguard in wales.. amongst the conversations one of the single sisters stated, "i could never marry anybody who used to be in the world".. i guess a lifetime of knocking on doors had given her the impression there couldnt possibly be a convert in her midst, never mind later alone with her in her mgb.. so whats with this, did you think we had rat scabies or were possesed by demons or something?.

My parents were strict about that. Then I dated a die-hard hardcore uber dub. Since most of my siblings didn't take to the "truth", she thought I was weaker/shadier than a brother whose whole family was pioneering.
My parents sensed her attitude, and said I needed a girl who "understands", but make sure we get tested for everything before we get married. Lol.

Cool. I like this idea as simply to enhance understanding of an area. Though there's no credits, maybe it would be cool to say I've studied cryptography from an MIT professor. Would that work in an interview or on a resume? lol.
